Popi Cafe
Popi café means tasty food and quality drinks, excellent music, friendly service and an remarkably varied (gay) public from around the world. Since the move from Riemstraat at the South to the Plantinkaai on the banks of the river Schelde (February 2005) we have been able to develop our open character even further in a light and spatious café, and one of the most beautiful sunny pavements in the city.

We serve various first-class drinks, including five beers on tap (eg. the "Kriek Lindemans"), several wines, hot drinks (eg. lattes in many flavours), delicious cocktails (be sure to try our Caipirinha, Mojito or Cosmopolitan). In July 2005 Popi café won the Havana Club Master Class Contest and thus received the title of honour 'Best Mojito in Flanders'.

Above all, Popi is a café, but we also serve snacks and a full meal: soups, sandwiches, pastas, salads and several tasty specials. For dessert, you'll also find our home made tiramisu and apple pie are always on the menu. On Sundays and holidays you can order a delicious breakfast until 15:00, there is a choice between the standard or the luxurious breakfast.

Since the Popi café opened its doors in 1998, there has always been a close connection between Popi & Eurosong. The Eurosong festival broadcasted on a large screen with the eurosong prognosis, is still one of the highlights of the Popi year.
Every August, we celebrate 'Popi del Mar' on the last Friday of the month. We have a barbecue, party and an international act on stage.
Together with the 'Hessenhuis' we have launched a new party concept on location called "Melt!"
